Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Harbour View Medical Center in Suffolk, VA. The ER RN will deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, interprofessional team.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the care team, assessing patient status, prioritizing needs, implementing interventions, and developing care plans to optimize outcomes. Must hold RN licensure with a nursing degree; BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred; EPIC training helpful.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS and ACLS/PALS required or preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced ED setting as part of an interprofessional team.
• Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments.
• Administer medications safely according to policy and procedure.
