ER RN: Acute Care & Triage Specialist

Western Missouri Medical Center is seeking a staff Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will triage patients, assess, and communicate with ED providers, ensuring timely care and safe patient flow.

The role requires a Missouri nursing license, BLS/ACLS, and TNCC/PALS certifications with experience in ED settings; BSN preferred. Shift is 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week, with opportunities to participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice as RN in Missouri or eligible.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year ER experience or comparable experience preferred.
• Knowledgable about neonatal to geriatric care.
• Current AHA BLS required.
• ACLS or obtain within 6 months.
• TNCC within 12 months.
• PALS within 6 months.
• Self-motivated and able to follow hospital policies.

Aufgaben

• Assess critically ill patients and respond to changes in condition.
• Assist providers with procedures (sedation, central lines, RSI).
• Document care and ensure patient function goals.
• Provide positive customer service relations.
• Participate in Quality Improvement projects.
• Assist co-workers as needed.
• Support the hospital’s Mission/Vision/Philosophy positively.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Serve as sitters after appropriate training.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned.
