Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• New graduate or RNs without E.D. or Critical Care experience AND successful completion of the E.D. residency program.
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire
• Basic Life Support (through AHA) - CPR, upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 60 Days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 months
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 months
• Trauma Nurse Core Course within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Adheres to policies and procedures, including safety and regulatory standards.
• Administers, oversees and documents medication administration as ordered and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Assess patient needs and data; implement interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• Plan care and coordinate post-discharge needs.
• Document care and patient status using nursing process and report changes.
