Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across our acute care environment. You’ll assess patients, perform skilled procedures, and implement comprehensive care plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires critical thinking, a patient-first mindset, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. A DA/E.D. residency is preferred for new grads or RNs without ED/CC experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; WA license on hire.
• New graduates or RNs without ED/CC experience and successful completion of ED residency.
• WA RN licensure on hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required on hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 60 days.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 12 months.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 months.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 12 months.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Administers, oversees and documents medication administration per orders and policy.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral, and spiritual needs; plans and evaluates care.
• Produces, documents and updates nursing care through the nursing process.
• Communicates and collaborates within an interdisciplinary team.
• Prepares patients for discharge and coordinates post-discharge needs.
• Adheres to safety, risk management and regulatory standards.
