Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department on a PRN basis. This 14-bed ED with a 5:1 patient ratio offers a fast-paced environment with 12-hour shifts.

You will perform assessments, document care, and participate in care planning. Requirements include an active NC or compact RN license, an Associate's degree (BSN preferred), BLS, ACLS and PALS within specified timelines, and about 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state license required.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Documents care and medical necessity in the medical record.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
