Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mercy - Emergency Department in Charlotte, NC. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, collaborating with the care team to improve outcomes and ensure safety.

You will hold an RN license (multi-state or single-state as required), maintain BLS, and participate in evidence-based practice, quality initiatives, and ongoing professional development within a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice where the client is located and BLS certification.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply best practices.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust plans, mobilize resources, collaborate with care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and effective communication within the unit.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocol.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation and participate in required education.
