Job summary

Woodland Heights Medical Center in Texas is seeking a full-time ER RN to provide patient-centered care in a dynamic emergency department. The RN will coordinate assessments, implement plans, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to achieve positive patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of acute care experience, Texas RN licensure, and strong skills in assessment, medication administration, and patient education. ACLS/PALS preferred; BLS required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in clinical nursing or student rotations in acute care required.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas or multi-state license.
• CPR/BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered RN care per nursing process and physician orders.
• Administer medications, monitor effects, document per standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and team for care plans and outcomes.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
