Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a registered nurse to collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team in patient care. Versatile roles span assessments, exams, treatments, documentation, and patient education, with emphasis on safety and outcomes.

RNs are hired based on experience levels (RN I–IV) with evening shifts including 3:00pm–3:00am in the Emergency Room. Texas license and BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas license or compact license to practice nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience levels include RN I–IV with corresponding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Delivers professional nursing care per nursing process and age-specific needs.
• Assesses, assists with exams and treatments, educates patients, maintains records.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team for care planning.
• Coordinates discharge and transfer plans with an emphasis on patient experience.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and MHHS policies; ensures safety.
• Mentors less experienced staff and supports department goals.
