Job summary

South Shore Health in Whitman, MA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide individualized, outcome-oriented care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, collaborating with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include medication administration, accurate documentation, professional development, safety and quality, and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN license and active MA nursing license required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC may be required.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration, transcription, and documentation per SSH policies.
• Develop, communicate, and update a prioritized plan of care for each patient.
• Perform admission assessments within 8 hours and assess ongoing care needs.
• Document all patient care per policy and standards; monitor indicators (falls, CAUTI, skin).
• Communicate day plan to the team and facilitate discharge planning by noon.
• Adhere to hand hygiene and universal precautions; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain professional development by earning required contact hours annually.
• Utilize Lotus Notes and department software; operate in downtime when needed.
• Protect patient privacy and comply with privacy/security programs; report compliance issues.
