Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time 12-hour shift role emphasizes patient-centered care, the Watson Model, and teamwork with the care team.

The ideal candidate has an RN license in California and at least 1 year of ER experience. BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred; bilingual Spanish helpful; on-site work in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of ER nursing experience.
• Current California RN license.
• Basic EKG competence.
• ED nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour patient care in the Emergency Department using nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with SBAR handoffs.
• Coordinate with Care Managers for discharge planning and patient needs.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and unit readiness for patient care.
• Support learning and development by precepting new staff.
