Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a part-time RN for the Emergency Department, nights, with a 7 PM differential. The Clinical Staff Nurse will provide high-quality, family-centered care using the Watson model and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires ER nursing experience, California RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, with opportunities to grow through resident and transition

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical nursing in Emergency Department required.
• California RN license active.
• Basic EKG competence.
• ED nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process to assess and plan care.
• Prioritize and coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Provide age-appropriate care using Watson Model of Care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team using SBAR.
• Document care: assessment, plan, implementation, evaluation.
• Maintain safe, clean environment meeting regulatory standards.
• Assist with patient flow and committee participation as needed.
