Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team in delivering patient care using the nursing process.

You will perform nursing assessments, assist exams and treatments, educate patients, and maintain medical records, with experience levels RN 0–10+ years. Texas RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN preferred with opportunities for growth and precepting.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license or valid temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required by unit
• BSN preferred and/or higher nursing education may be required by the department

Responsibilities

• Delivers professional nursing care to patients using the nursing process and safe practice standards
• Conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatments, and documents medical records
• Coordinates plan of care with interdisciplinary team and communicates with patients and families
• Develops discharge/transfer plans and participates in program evaluation and quality improvement
• Ensures safety and quality of service, adheres to regulations and policies, and mentors junior staff
