Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department is seeking a RN for a full-time, third shift role in Corbin, KY. The ER offers 28 beds, Level IV trauma designation, and around-the-clock care across all ages with a dedicated fast-track area and behavioral health intake.

The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and evaluate plans of care, educate patients and families, document status, and respond to emergencies while supervising LPNs, CNAs, techs, unit secretaries, and students.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Kentucky.
• Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CPR training within first week.
• Glucometer Training.
• TNCC within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and documents findings.
• Develops, updates, and evaluates plan of care.
• Sets measurable goals and evaluates outcomes.
• Educates patients and families.
• Communicates patient status with SBAR and ARCC.
• Delivers care per MD orders.
• Implements nursing care plans and procedures.
• Responds to emergencies.
• Supports staff and patient flow.
• Maintains licensure and regulatory compliance.
