Job summary

Sweeny Community Hospital in Sweeny, TX seeks an experienced RN in the Emergency Department to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with physicians and the health team, manage telemetry, PICC/Central lines, and provide patient education while maintaining safety and quality.

Essential duties include accurate assessment, timely reporting, and adherence to CMS competencies in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications.
• PALS or ENPC within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to interpret arrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient''s care.
• Document health status and medical history.
• Provide concise shift handoffs with timely reports.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per guidelines.
• Monitor telemetry and recognize lethal arrhythmias.
• Care for patients with PICC/Central lines and PIVs.
• Ensure safe equipment use and proper cleaning/disposal.
• Attend required staff meetings and adhere to safety policies.
