Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care within the ED, collaborating with physicians and the care team to support outcomes and patient experience.

You will assess pain, perform procedures, respond to patient needs, and educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS, ENPC, NVCI, PALS, TNCC certifications required.
• RN licensure with ADN/BSN degree or higher.
• Minimum 2 years RN ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, and documents care in the EHR promptly.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients/families about conditions, treatments, meds, and side effects.
• Educates on non-medical follow-up measures and self-management.
