Job summary

SSM Health Mustang ED is recruiting a PRN RN to provide direct nursing care in a high-acuity setting. You will perform comprehensive assessments, triage patients, and implement care plans with an emphasis on patient safety and evidence-based practice.

The role requires a minimum of one year in emergency nursing, current RN licensure, and certifications including BLS, ACLS, ENPC, NRP, PALS, and TNCC as applicable. Work shifts are variable to cover 36 hours in a 6-week cycle.

Qualifications

• ED experience required; one year in ED.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
• RN licensure in state; BLS/ACLS/E protocol certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and status.
• Triages patients using age-appropriate, culturally sensitive practices to prioritize care.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
• Implements and coordinates care, and educates to promote safe practice.
• Evaluates progress toward outcomes and communicates effectively in practice settings.
• Demonstrates leadership and commitment to current nursing practice.
