Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This PRN varied evening shift opportunity offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work in a high-quality coastal community hospital.

The ED nurse role emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. 1–2 years of Medical-Surgical, telemetry, and hospital experience are preferred and required

Qualifications

• Provides for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and integrates mission/values.
• Education of patients and families on disease process and plan of care.
• Manages coordination of care with ancillary services and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with medical, surgical, or emergent conditions.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis and plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Serve as patient advocate to ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Participate in staff meetings and unit-based initiatives.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (required)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)

Diploma Nurses require 5+ years progressive care
