Job summary

Baptist Health’s Emergency Department at Town Center in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time evening shift (12:00pm–12:00am) with rotating weekends. This role emphasizes teamwork, patient advocacy, and high-quality care in a busy freestanding ED.

Requirements include 1–2 years Medical-Surgical nursing, telemetry, emergency department experience preferred, and a valid RN license with BLS; ACLS and other certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience (required)
• Telemetry Experience (required)
• Emergency Department Experience (preferred)
• Hospital Experience (required)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
• CEN, TNCC, NIHSS (preferred)
• Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care (for diploma holders)

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with medical and emergent conditions
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate care with ancillary services
• Advocate for patient safety and satisfaction
• Participate in unit initiatives and meetings
• Provide care per nursing process and supervise supportive personnel
• Include patients and families in developing individualized plans
• Educate patients and families about disease process and plan of care
• Serve as patient advocate and manage treatment of medical, surgical, or other conditions
