Job summary

Adventist HealthCare’s Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join a mission-driven team. The RN will educate patients and families, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality care in a fast-paced ED setting.

Required: Maryland RN license, NCLEX, 1+ year RN experience, BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed. Night shift with weekend rotation and shift differential. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX exam.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role model to Level I nurses and support best practices in patient care with EMR resources.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice while upholding Adventist HealthCare values.
• Develop care plans according to patient population and condition changes.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
