Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN. You will educate patients and families, model professional practice, and use electronic resources to support care. Night shift 7 PM–7 AM, 36 hours/week, with weekend rotation and shift differential.

The role requires a Maryland RN license, NCLEX pass, BLS, and at least 1 year of ED experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and a faith-based mission to extend care in Montgomery

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Maryland State nursing license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence-based practice.
