Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program by date of hire.
• Two years of Critical Care experience and two years of Emergency Department experience.
• Indiana RN license; ACLS, BLS; ACLS/PALS/ENPC/NRP within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Preferred certifications: CEN, TNCC, ENPC, NRP.

Responsibilities

• Triages patients in the Emergency Department based on severity.
• Assesses patient condition using vital signs, physical exam, and meds reconciliation.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures as prescribed.
• Monitors patient status and communicates changes to the care team.
• Partners with care team for discharge or admission planning.
• Charts patient history, condition, meds, and treatments in EMR.
• Provides discharge instructions and ensures patient understanding.
