Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to join our patient-focused team. The RN will deliver direct care, participate in the interdisciplinary care plan, and help coordinate patient outcomes across units with physicians and support staff.

The ideal candidate has an NJ RN license, BLS/CPR, and acute care experience or Nurse Residency participation. The role emphasizes safety, evidence-based practice, and excellent patient and family communication.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• Must have 6 months or more of acute care nursing experience OR participate in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Emergency nursing experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team and follows evidence-based nursing practices.
• Performs assessments, plan of care, and coordinates with physicians and support services.
• Documents care and communicates patient status and needs.
• Lifts and transfers per safety guidelines; adheres to competency standards.
• Supports patient education and discharge planning.
