Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include evidence-based nursing, patient communication, medication administration with bar-scanning, and comprehensive documentation in the EMR.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and preferably ACLS/CNOR; BSN in progress and/or commitment to complete within three years.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS is preferred.
• CNOR is preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire is required.
• 2 years OR experience preferred.
• Six or more months of acute care RN experience required or active participation in HMH nurse residency program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to evidence-based practice, policies, and standards of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and health-care team about status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technology to ensure safety.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations in the EMR.
• Provide patient and family education to improve health and disease management.
• Discharge patients with safe transition and appropriate follow-up.
