Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital Salt Lake is seeking a Registered Nurse to collaborate with the healthcare team to address patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and advance compassionate care.

You will promote patient safety and quality through the nursing process, adhering to standards and the State Nurse Practice Act, while maintaining accountability in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• RN license in the state of employment required.
• Physical requirements: Medium work, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient plans of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in interventions including IVs, wound care, medications, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain patient charts accurately and confidentially; document status, interventions, and outcomes; use IT for communication and decision support.
• Promote, advocate for, and protect patients' health and safety and rights.
• Provide patient/family education by assessing learning readiness and needs and evaluating teaching effectiveness.

Education

Associates Degree in Nursing
