Qualifications

• 1 year of consecutive, recent ED experience (within last 5 years) or ICU experience.
• CA RN license required upon hire.
• CPR required upon hire; ACLS, PALS required within specified timeframes.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course and NRP within 6–months.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment and notifies physicians as appropriate.
• Formulates a care plan for individual patient needs and transitional care planning.
• Adapts education to patient and family, integrating teaching into care delivery.
• Ensures efficient care delivery and makes independent clinical decisions.
• Adheres to unit safety regulations and guidelines.
• Advocates for patient rights and seeks resolution for conflicts.
