Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced ED setting. You will perform assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

Required credentials include AA in Nursing, CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP within specified timeframes, and 1 year ED experience. BSN preferred. Training is provided when operationally feasible.

Qualifications

• Associate of Arts in Nursing required.
• 1 year ED experience within last 5 years (ICU may be considered).
• Will train when operational considerations allow.
• Registered Nurse: CA license upon hire.
• BLS/CPR required upon hire.
• ACLS required upon hire.
• PALS required within 6 months.
• TNCC required within 6 months.
• NRP required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessments and follows care plans.
• Forms a plan of care for individual needs and contributes to planning transitions.
• Adapts education to patient and family and integrates teaching during care.
• Ensures efficient delivery of care and prioritizes immediate patient needs.
• Follows unit safety regulations and guidelines.
• Advocates for patient rights and seeks resolution for conflicts.
