Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate required on hire and kept current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and kept current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and kept current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year RN staff nurse experience in acute care hospital; ER experience preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results in the Emergency Department.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
