Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This PRN evening shift role emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care within a fast-paced ED environment.

The ideal candidate brings 1–2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with telemetry, an ASN, Florida RN license, BLS, and preferably ED exposure. BSN is preferred; ACLS/CEN/TNCC/ NIHSS certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of Florida
• 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Emergency Department experience preferred
• Hospital experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• ACLS preferred
• Certifications such as CEN, TNCC, NIHSS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of medical, surgical, or emergent conditions
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis and plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Serve as a patient advocate to ensure safety and satisfaction
• Participate in staff meetings and unit-based initiatives
• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health
