Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on the evening shift at Edward Hospital. The role is full-time with 36 hours per week, evenings from 3:00pm to 3:00am, and rotation includes every third weekend and holidays.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Nursing or higher, with at least 1 year of ED experience, and must maintain Illinois RN licensure, CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications within specified timelines.

Qualifications

Associates degree or higher in nursing is required.
If ADN is the highest degree, must complete a BSN within five years of start date.
1+ year of emergency department nursing experience.
Current IL Registered Nurse licensure; CPR certification; ACLS within three months; PALS within three months; NIHSS stroke scale within three months.

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care in accordance with Illinois Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.
Assesses patients, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors progress and records observations.
Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
Works as a team member to achieve unit goals.
Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.
