Job summary

St.-Rose-Hospital in Hayward, CA is seeking an ER Charge Nurse for per-diem Night/On-Call shifts. You will be responsible for quality nursing activities, direct patient care, and staff coordination in the Emergency Department.

Qualifications include CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (within 6 months), NIHSS, and a commitment to maintaining department standards. TNCC is a plus; at least 2 years ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CA Registered Nurse license required.
• Current BLS required.
• Current ACLS required.
• Current PALS required (within 6 months).
• NIHSS certification required.
• Assaultive Behavior Training required.
• Sexual Harassment/Bullying Prevention Certification required (1 month from hire).
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
• Minimum two-years Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Coordinate and oversee patient care for the shift.
• Assess and reassess pain and document appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with standards of care and hospital policies.
• Mentor staff and act as a resource in the clinical area.
• Support staff in achieving unit goals and staffing for next shift.
