Job summary

Heywood Healthcare Inc. in Massachusetts seeks an experienced Emergency Department nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care under the nurse manager’s direction. You will assess, implement, and evaluate care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced ED.

Minimum education is AS in nursing with MA RN licensure; BS in nursing is preferred. ACLS/BLS, PALS within six months; ENPC/CEN preferred. 1 year ED/ICU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• AS in nursing is required.
• BS in nursing preferred.
• 1 year emergency department or intensive care unit experience preferred.
• 1 year telemetry or med-surg experience required.
• RN license in MA.
• ACLS upon hire or active BLS; PALS within six months; ENPC and CEN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess nursing interventions and patient goals.
• Provide patient care per standards and protocols.
• Document data, interventions, and patient responses.
• Provide patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Safely administer medications and IV therapy per orders.
