Job summary

ConnectedHealth is seeking a PRN Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced ED. The role emphasizes patient-centric care, rapid assessment, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective treatment.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN, California RN license, and BLS, with preferred BSN and advanced emergency certifications. Fast-paced ER experience and strong clinical judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required.
• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to ER patients.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition.
• Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity and established protocols.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other interventions as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and other clinical indicators.
• Assist physicians and other providers with emergency procedures and patient stabilization.
• Participate in resuscitation and other emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records and nursing documentation.
• Provide patient and family education regarding medications, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and quality-of-care standards.
