ER of Dallas in Fort Worth, TX, seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician for a flexible arrangement including full-time, part-time, or independent contractor options. The center features an ultra-low volume environment with private physician quarters and downtime between cases.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years in Emergency Medicine or equivalent freestanding ED experience, hold Texas medical licensure with DEA, and be board-certified/eligible in EM or FM/IM.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Emergency Medicine experience or substantial freestanding/rural ED experience for FM/IM physicians
• Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License (TMB) and DEA registration
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine (FM/IM)
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
• Proficiency in independent single-physician coverage and ED procedural competencies

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care in a freestanding ER setting
• Manage an average census of 4–6 patients per 24 hours
• Perform ED procedures with independence
• Collaborate with nursing staff and use on-site diagnostic capabilities

Position Summary

As an Emergency Medicine Physician at our facility, you’ll provide exceptional care in a low-stress, fully equipped emergency setting. Whether you prefer full-time, part-time, or independent contractor arrangements, this role offers the flexibility and autonomy you need to thrive. Our freestanding ER is designed to support both your professional and personal well‑being, with private physician quarters and significant downtime between patient encounters.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients in a freestanding ER setting.
• Manage an average patient census of 4–6 patients per 24 hours.
• Perform standard emergency department procedures with confidence and independence.
• Collaborate with a dedicated nursing staff and utilize on-site diagnostic capabilities, including a CLIA-waived/moderate complexity lab, CT, Digital X-Ray, and Ultrasound.
• Provide observation care as needed, with additional incentives for patients placed in clinical observation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Emergency Medicine or substantial freestanding/rural emergency department experience for FM/IM physicians.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License (TMB) and DEA registration.
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine (FM/IM).
• Certifications: Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (or documented trauma equivalency).
• Skills: Proficiency in independent single-physician coverage and emergency department procedural competencies.

Clinical Environment and Shift Flexibility

• Ultra-Low Volume: Average of 4–6 patients per 24 hours.
• Significant Downtime: Enjoy private physician quarters with a dedicated bed, private bath/shower, and workstation.
• Flexible Shifts: Choose between 24-hour or 48-hour shift blocks to fit your schedule.

Compensation & Incentives

• Base Hourly Rate: $120 – $250/hour, with a tiered/scaled model based on shift census and coverage needs.
