Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a pharmacist to support both clinical and distributive pharmacy services in a hospital setting. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective therapies and adherence to established policies and regulatory requirements.

The position emphasizes participation in clinical programs, education of staff, and process improvements to boost patient outcomes. A Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy and licensure are required or ongoing, with ASHP PGY1 preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Licensure as a pharmacist in good standing.
• ASHP PGY1 residency preferred but not required.
• Clinical hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Preceptor license and board certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participate in departmental clinical programs and regulatory reporting.
• Process orders and dispense medications per policies and protocols.
• Contribute to educational goals of the department.
• Improve pharmacy processes to enhance safety and outcomes.
