Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Pharmacist to support clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies for patients across ages. The role involves processing orders, dispensing medications, and supporting departmental programs under regulatory guidelines.

Preferred candidates have ASHP PGY1 residency and hospital exposure; licensure in OK is required and preceptor licensure must be maintained. Opportunities for growth and advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Education: PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency preferred but not required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must maintain preceptor license with OK State Board of Pharmacy on hire.
• Encouraged to obtain/maintain board certification in related practice area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participate in departmental clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to educational goals of the department.
• Improve pharmacy processes to promote patient safety and outcomes.

Education

BS in Pharmacy or PharmD

ASHP PGY1 residency (preferred)

Hospital pharmacy experience (preferred)

Pharmacist licensure in good standing (OK State)

Preceptor license required upon hire (OK State)
