Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a pharmacist to participate in clinical and distributive services, ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies for patients. You will handle orders, dispense medications, and support department programs while adhering to regulatory requirements.

The position emphasizes ongoing education, preceptor duties, and contribution to quality outcomes in a hospital setting. Licensure in OK and ASHP-variant credentials are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Preferred hospital pharmacy experience.
• Licensed as a pharmacist in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Preceptor license required upon hire.
• Board certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participate in departmental clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in accreditation and reporting requirements for external agencies.
• Contribute to educational goals of the department.
• Improve pharmacy processes to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
