Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a registered pharmacist to participate in clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies for patients across all age groups. The role includes developing and maintaining clinical programs, and supporting daily pharmacy operations in a hospital setting.

Requirements include a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD, Oklahoma licensure, and preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency, with hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Licensure: Required as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Preceptor license required through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship required upon hire.
• Board-certification in related practice area encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes to improve patient safety and outcomes.
