Job summary

Blessing Health System in Quincy, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead patient flow in the Emergency Department and related departments. The Patient Flow Coordinator will collaborate with clinicians to optimize throughput and LOS, using data to drive decisions and improve care.

This role requires strong organizational skills, crisis management abilities, and excellent communication to coordinate across multiple teams while upholding EMTALA, ICARE standards and Blessing Health System policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN School of Nursing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Graduate of a BSN or BSN obtained within two (2) years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient flow within the Emergency Department and Grand Central Command to optimize throughput and LOS.
• Collaborate with providers and nursing staff to place patients appropriately and manage crises.
• Utilize data to drive decisions and improvements in patient care, workflows, and adherence to EMTALA and ICARE standards.
