WMCH Weirton Medical Center is looking for a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to support patient care under supervision. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, vital signs, and daily patient assistance. 36 hours per week with non-exempt status.

The position requires a high school diploma and BLS certification within 30 days, plus preferred PN abilities and ongoing nursing education. You will work in a hospital setting with diverse patient needs and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of a nurse assistant or patient care tech program is preferred.
• Current nursing student status is acceptable for consideration.
• Minimum 6 months of patient care tech experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Follows established plan of patient care.
• Assists with admission, transfer, discharge and transporting of patients.
• Implements patient safety measures under RN direction.
• Records vital signs as instructed by the nurse.
• Provides comfort measures and assists with meals and hygiene.
• Maintains unit cleanliness and stocks supplies.
