Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care in the Emergency Services department. You will transport patients, assist with vital signs and CPR, and ensure supplies are properly stocked and rooms are tidy.

Required are Vocational/technical training, 6+ months experience, and a Nursing Assistant Certificate with BLS. Join a comprehensive health system serving the Rhode Island area.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical training and more than six months job-related experience or equivalent.
• Nursing Assistant Certificate is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between hospital units.
• Ensure supplies in the Emergency Services department are stocked.
• Administer CPR, check blood pressure, temperature or perform phlebotomy and electrocardiograms as needed.
• Keep the emergency rooms neat and orderly.
• Adjust crutches for patients as necessary.
• Obtain food order from kitchen.
• Transport discharged patients via wheelchair to car.
• Deliver specimens as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
