Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse at a Rhode Island facility. You will assist with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and support treatments as directed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires vocational/technical training and a RI State Nursing Assistant license, with experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical training and more than six months job-related experience or equivalent.
• RI State Nursing Assistant license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care and routine treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Assist with personal hygiene to promote patient comfort and well-being.
• Record intake/output and vital signs; document care accurately.
• Assist in caring for seriously ill patients or with complex procedures under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment with stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
• Maintain medical records neatly and legibly.
• Report changes in patient condition to RN/Team Leader.
• Attend seminars and in-services to maintain specialty knowledge.
