Job summary

Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI seeks a Nursing Assistant to assist with patient care in the Emergency Services department, including patient transport and ensuring a clean, organized environment.

The position requires vocational/technical training, 6+ months related experience or equivalent, a Nursing Assistant Certificate, and BLS certification. CPR/ECG and vital signs support are used as needed to aid patient care.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between hospital units.
• Stock and maintain supplies in the Emergency Services department.
• Administer CPR, monitor vitals, perform phlebotomy and ECG as needed.
• Keep the emergency rooms neat and orderly at all times.
• Assist with patient mobility and comfort, adjusting crutches as necessary.
• Transport discharged patients by wheelchair to the car.
• Deliver specimens as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Transports patients between different hospital units.
• Ensures that supplies in the Emergency Services department are properly stocked.
• Administer CPR, check blood pressure, temperature or perform phlebotomy and electrocardiograms as needed.
• Ensure the emergency rooms are neat and orderly at all times.
• Adjust crutches for patients as necessary.
• Obtain food order from kitchen.
• Transport discharged patients via wheelchair to car.
• Deliver specimens as needed.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Vocational/technical training and more than six months job-related experience or equivalent is required. Nursing Assistant Certificate is also required. BLS required
