Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a variable-shift, PRN Emergency Room Patient Care Technician (PCT). You will support registered nurses and physicians by delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Required: minimum 6 months in an acute care hospital, EKG and phlebotomy experience, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional cardiac/certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience in performing EKG and phlebotomy procedures.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ER environment alongside clinicians.
• Assist with EKGs and phlebotomy procedures as part of patient care workflows.
• Support nursing staff and contribute to efficient patient throughput and satisfaction.
