Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a paramedic/assistive care role to support Registered Nurses in delivering patient care. The position involves assisting patients with mobility, transfers, ADLs, and data collection, under supervision, across day shifts.

The role requires EMT-P certification, CPR/ACLS/OEMS certifications, and 1–2 years of clinical or GSMC experience, plus basic computer and EMR skills. Expect 7a–7p scheduling and comprehensive compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and EMT-P Paramedic certification.
• CPR, ACLS, OEMS Paramedic certification.
• 1-2 years of experience or GSMC clinical experience.
• 1 year of clerical experience preferably in medical field.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care under supervision.
• Maintain safe, comfortable patient environment and assist with mobility.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Assist with ADLs and intake/output recording.
• Collect specimens including phlebotomy and document vitals.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
