Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist in the Emergency Services department. You will transport patients, stock supplies, and perform CPR, vital signs, phlebotomy, and ECGs as needed. Maintain neat, orderly ERs and help with patient mobility and meals.

Qualifications include vocational/technical training with 6+ months related experience, Nursing Assistant Certificate, and BLS certification. This role supports fast-paced, high-stakes patient care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical training and more than six months job-related experience or equivalent is required.
• Nursing Assistant Certificate is also required.
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Transports patients between different hospital units.
• Ensures that supplies in the Emergency Services department are properly stocked.
• Administer CPR, check blood pressure, temperature or perform phlebotomy and electrocardiograms as needed.
• Ensure the emergency rooms are neat and orderly at all times.
• Adjust crutches for patients as necessary.
• Obtain food order from kitchen.
• Transport discharged patients via wheelchair to car.
• Deliver specimens as needed.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
