Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK, invites applications for an Emergency Room Patient Care Tech (PCT) on day shift and PRN. The role includes assisting patients with daily activities, recording vitals, transporting patients, and supporting the nursing team in a fast-paced ER environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and obtain BLS within 14 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include CNA/PCT or paramedic certification or current nursing school enrollment,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs under supervision.
Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements, assist with range of motion and blood draws.
