Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department Night shift. Join a 38-bed ED that handles high patient volumes, sterile procedures, and rapid response care with collaborative ED teams.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, IV starts, EKGs, and transport while working under RN/Physician supervision. BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred with NIH recs. This role offers growth and a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required or to be obtained within 6 months.
• Licensed Paramedic in GA or National Registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under supervision of RN/Physician.
• Participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Provide patient advocacy, teaching, and oversee unlicensed staff.
• Perform EKGs, Foley catheters, start IVs/IOs and draw blood.
• Transport patients to other departments and monitor for arrhythmias.
