Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Paramedic to join the emergency department team, delivering advanced medical care to patients from infancy to adulthood. The role emphasizes collaboration with ED physicians, nurses, and mid-levels to initiate effective care plans.

The position requires certified paramedics with ACLS, BLS, EMT-P, PALS, TNCC, and TEAM ADVANCED competencies, plus the ability to manage multiple critical tasks in a fast-paced ED environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to analyze patient condition and coordinate treatment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress ED settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-levels, and nurses to plan and initiate patient care in ED.
• Assist ED patients during stay with IV placement, wound care, catheterizations, and related procedures.
• Document interventions and outcomes in the EMR (EPIC) and ensure equipment readiness.
• Participate in triage and management of emergencies including trauma and obstetric cases.
