Job summary

MyMichigan Medical Group in Kentucky's Northern region is seeking an experienced Paramedic to provide advanced emergency medical care in the ED, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and treat acutely ill or injured patients.

The role involves collaboration with ED physicians and nurses, performing IV access, wound care, monitoring, and medication administration, while documenting care in EPIC and ensuring equipment readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required or within required timeframes.
• EMT-P paramedic credential with licensing validity.
• PALS and TNCC certifications mandatory or must be completed soon after hire.
• Ability to analyze patient condition and coordinate precise treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-levels, and nurses to plan and initiate care for ED patients.
• Assist with ED patient care, including IV access, wound care, dressings, catheterizations, and monitoring.
• Triage and manage medications per ED list; interpret vitals and cardiac rhythms; deliver oxygen therapy.
• Utilize equipment such as monitors, ventilators, and pacemakers; document interventions in EPIC.
• Evaluate equipment readiness and restock; ensure patient rooms and trauma spaces are prepared.
