Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Burnsville, MN seeks a Patient Care Supervisor – Emergency Room at Fairview Ridges Hospital to lead a dedicated team delivering emergency nursing care across all ages in a fast-paced ED.

You will assist the Manager/Director with department operations, supervise staff, manage resources, emphasize quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and partner with leadership to improve patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required.
• 2 years nursing experience with formal or informal leadership exposure.
• MN RN license required at hire.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• MA/MS in nursing or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise/manage day-to-day operations with Manager/Director to support organizational mission and goals.
• Plan, manage, coordinate and evaluate patient care activities including staffing, resources, quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Prioritize assignments to ensure timely and efficient use of resources.
• Assist with equipment and supply management within budget.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement and evaluate practice standards and quality initiatives.
• Collect and analyze quality data and drive process improvements to ensure safe patient care.
